Museum Masters International - “Three decades of International Exhibitions, Fine Art Gallery Merchandising, Architecture, Interior Design, and Management for Estates Worldwide.”

Museum Masters International (MMI) The company raised investment financing  in order to acquire, publish, and distribute Pablo Picasso images (200) inherited by Picasso’s grand-daughter Marina Picasso. MMI’s President, Marilyn Goldberg endorsed the first Marina Picasso exhibition/merchandising program in Japan where she partnered with the Mitsukoshi Museum in Tokyo, Mitsukoshi retailed stores and developed Hakone gift store for the Hakone open air Museum in Japan. (The museums permanent exhibition was Pablo Picasso and Henry Moore). The program featured a wide series of art related gift accessories with exquisite packaging. This lead to the first product development and art-related gift store purchases for the Guggenheim Museum in New York. (Such location had only a book store with posters at the time). This success story spawned the development of MMI’s on-going international career. Renowned names Estate and foundation partners who engaged MMI for full marketing / licensing services included to name a few: Erté, Picasso, the Estate of John Lennon, Andy Warhol, Henri Matisse, Keith Haring (2000-2004), Salvador Dali (1985-2004), Tamara de Lempicka (1985 -2010), whose latest exhibitions were held at the Royal Academy UK, Musee Trente, Palacio de bellas Artes in Mexico and scheduled exhibition at the Complesso del Vittoriano 2010. 

Museum Masters is the Official Licensee of many assorted rights relative to the Estate of Pablo Picasso for art merchandise, including Accessories: Bags, Umbrellas, Scarves, Ties; Fashion/T-shirts; Ceramics & Glassware; Bed / Bath; and Chocolates & Tins. 

Additionally, MMI has created and, or endorsed the Art Merchandise programs for renowned institutions such as:

The company’s legacy made an impact on the gift and home market, at art book market. The enthusiasm for 20th century Art Masters and collectibles included the use of many Art Trademarks filed in the early 1980s and 1990s including Van Gogh, Renoir, Monet, Klimt, and Gauguin, Picasso, Warhol, John Lennon (Bag One Art Publications), Erte, Macke, Salvador Dali, Tamara de Lempicka multi-million dollar masterpieces. Marilyn Goldberg’s “MariGold” concept of Art Branding and co-branding (as with Andy Warhol and Marilyn Monroe) was a historic “first.” The art licensing business then spawned with others internationally following MMI’s lead pioneer of an industry.  

MMI also developed and managed the launch of several contemporary artists into ancillary product development, and limited edition lithographs, sculptures and tapestries. Represented several contemporary artists (Erte, Marco, David Gerstein, Ed Heck, Rafal Olbinski) in addition to many world renowned museum artists and their estates, for strategic business opportunities. Such names through creative professional handling have caused for international major commercial product development.  A wide variety of advertising campaigns, and promotional gift items were developed for important companies ranging from Van Cleef & Arpels to Hewlett Packard.  

MMI’s president Marilyn Goldberg was the invited guest of the Louvre Carousel in Paris, the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, the Royal Academy in the UK, Palacio de bellas Artes and Complesso del Vittoriano.
MMI and its past sister company, ArtMerchandising & Media (ArtMM) owned by Proeseibein Sat. 1 Media AG (Germany’s largest and most successful television company. Ms. Goldberg acted as the member of the board from 1999-2004. The merged efforts of the companies, caused for a superb sales team. The network of professional brand representatives caused for a demand to all Museum locations for the MMI Art Merchandising Products. The message gave young generations a clear story and understanding of the artists. These educational products have proven to be collectible tools of value for the future, and have caused for “original paintings sky rocket” at the auction houses

Our company is noted for expert styling for international exhibition and gallery management.  Expert layouts for exhibition banners, and promotional notification to press and television media of Art events: legal notifications for copyrights/trademarks, licensing agreements, manufacturing agreements and distribution agreements, and exhibition endorsement agreements. MMI Art Merchandising owns the most comprehensive archive of exhibition, layout development for concepts and advertising. The company also, has experience of twenty five years of sourcing and production in factories for exhibitions worldwide. MMI has had in Munich Germany, Benelux, China, Taiwan, Mexico, Latin America, and UK; with its headquartering operations in New York City and with its current operations South Hampton, New York.

Museum Masters has for many years distributed the lithograph editions approved by the heirs of Pablo Picasso in the years 1980-1983. Such editions have soared in value, and are the only signed Estate Prints endorsed, and signed by Picasso's granddaughter Marina Picasso. Each edition included 500 signed numbered prints, and 1000 hand pulled lithographic posters (unsigned) stamped with the unique investor code. Following the print publications and coordination of "the Pioneer of Exhibition Merchandise" contracts for ongoing estate owned images where concluded. MMI entered into signed agreements as The Official Licensee the Estate of Pablo Picasso for art merchandise, including Accessories: Bags, Umbrellas, Scarves, Ties; Fashion/T-shirts; Ceramics & Glassware; Bed / Bath; and Chocolates & Tins, dinnerware. Such agreements covered a span of 1999-2008.

Marilyn Goldberg, President of Museum Masters International

Marilyn Goldberg, President of MMI was celebrated April 11, 2008, by receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence for 30 years by her peers & 20 year president of Art Expo in NYC where she established all of her business. She was selected and named in conjunction with Creative Greats including Salvador Dali, and Andy Warhol in 2008.  Jane Seymore, the Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actress and artist hosted and emceed the ceremony. The Hall of Fame inductees' bios and examples of their work, were then displayed on the floor of the Javits Convention Center during Artexpo New York 2008 including Museum Master's Andy Warhol's hand woven hand knotted limited Edition  

Marilyn Monroe & Cambell's Soup Tapestry's. (One of MMI's many developed publications.)  The president of MMI is a graduate of Boston University's School of Fine and Applied Arts (1966) and the New York School of Interior Design (1978); Her combined space planning, exhibition and gallery planning, sense of color, renderings for all product development, design skills, and Fine Art and Marketing background has brought New business to "Originals" and to the Art World. Her ability to raise millions of dollars of investment banking financing allowed her to pioneer publications of limited edition prints, sculpture editions, and to create the Business of Art Trademarks, Art Merchandise 

Copyrights, and to License the works on loan of exhibitions worldwide. She developed the first gift locations at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, Hakone Museum in Japan, Mitsukoshi Museum in Tokyo and endorsed the Metropolitan Museum Gift Store to it's Japanese Franchise.
Her product development enticed gift locations throughout the world in their original small space which was "The Book Store" which over the span of thirty years has become the "Museum Masters Gift Shop". She was selected to design and publish the product for the New York Philharmonic's 50th Anniversary and the Metropolitan Opera's 150th Anniversary.

Ms. Goldberg was voted as one of the Top Ten businesswomen in “Crain’s New York Business" in 2003 and was named as one of the top businesswomen in “Who’s Who” in America in 2002. She has always enjoyed a warm and personal relationship with her employees and her international sales representatives - “her team” - who have developed and sold”MariGold" (Marilyn Goldberg) MMI products worldwide since 1985.

Her international archive of developed high resolution films, corrected restored digital archive, art merchandise has included major estates and contemporary artists such as:

Ms. Goldberg served as Board Member of ArtMerchandising & Media AG from 1999-2004. She continues to serve as President of Southampton Cottages and Master Builders International -- the companies handling artistic renovation, landscaping and interiors in the world-renowned Southampton, New York resort area. 2000-2009. She serves as director of International Sales, and President of Marilyn Goldberg Interiors established in 1979 and celebrates it's 30 years of business.
President of Villas Del Arte Real Estate Developments of South Hampton New York; President of Master Builders South Hampton New York; and President of South Hampton Cottages South Hampton New York. (2000-2005). Michael Rothbart serves as Executive Vice-President and C.E.O. The operations are run from their NY office on east 85th street in NYC, and their rental property in South Hampton/Watermill.
Her Watermill office opened at Villa Marilyn on the anniversary of Marilyn Monroes 80 th birthday for whom she was named by her european family being the first American born in NYC.Villa Marilyn opened in summer of 2013.

She continues and serves as director of International Sales, and President of Marilyn Goldberg Interiors established in 1979 and celebrates it's 30 years of business.(Developing the space, lighting and final plans for Exhibitions, galleries and Fine residential property).

Marilyn Goldberg continues daily to maintain quality control on all of the exhibition merchandising. She is further responsible for finding innovative ways to apply artwork onto various product forms, selection of imagery, and fashion border development knowing the industry, museum, retailers and the production process internationally.

World wide exclusive  licensing agent of Tamara de Lempicka endorsing many of the International  Lempicka  exhibitions for  Estate Approval & Merchandising  and promotion now been contracted through Spring 2009 with the Complesso del . Vittoriano in Rome.
